LifeBridge Health and ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers Award Scholarships to Maryland Students Who Give Back to Their Communities

Ravens Legend Ray Lewis to Speak at Scholarship Dinner
What: The LifeBridge Health/ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers Community Scholarship Program will celebrate high school and college students at an awards dinner tonight at Sinai Hospital. Each student will receive $2,500 in scholarship money.

Thirty high school seniors, three college freshmen/women and three sophomores were chosen from 300 hopefuls.

To enter the contest, each student wrote a 750 to 1,000-word essay. The high school seniors explained how they will use their education to give back to their communities, and the college students wrote about how they have already been contributing to their communities while attending college.

A panel of judges from the LIfeBridge Health Human Resources Department as well as professors from Coppin State University, Stevenson University, Towson University and Dulaney Valley High School selected the finalists.

This is the third annual LifeBridge Health/ExpressCare Community Scholarship program. This year, it was open to students in Baltimore City and Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard, Frederick and Prince George’s counties.

Ravens legend Ray Lewis will be the keynote speaker. He will talk about the path to his success.

When: Thursday, May 30, 2019
Dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Program begins at 7 p.m.
Where: Sinai Hospital - Zamoiski Auditorium
2401 W. Belvedere Ave.

Why: ExpressCare and LifeBridge Health created this scholarship program to motivate students to continue positive engagement in their communities and to stress the importance of getting a good education.
